Most shops make you call to find out what they charge. Here are our rates. Every job still gets a written quote with the full price before we start.
Labor rates

Shop welding & fabrication
$85/hr
Fabrication, repairs, aluminum and stainless TIG, done in our Eustis shop. Bring it in, or we'll arrange pickup and delivery.
Mobile welding
$100/hr
Our portable welding rig comes to you. 2-hour minimum, portal to portal: the clock runs from when Lucas leaves the shop until he's back.
Emergency & after-hours
$250/hr
Nights, weekends, same-day and equipment-down repairs. Portal to portal. Text 352-530-7750 with a photo and the address.
CNC plasma design setup
$50 per design
One-time setup to turn your drawing, sketch or logo into a cut file. Waived on repeat orders. Cut parts are priced per piece.
Shop minimum
$150
The smallest shop job we take, so quick fixes stay worth the setup. Small jobs are often well under an hour.
Mileage
$0.70/mile
Only for miles beyond 30 from the shop. Most of Lake County, including Eustis, Mount Dora, Tavares, Umatilla and Leesburg, is within 30 miles.

How quotes work
No surprises on the invoice.
Rates tell you what an hour costs. Your quote tells you what the whole job costs.
- Free written quote from photos, drawings or a visit, with a job number and the full price before any work starts.
- Materials are quoted per job, priced from our steel and aluminum suppliers at the time of the quote.
- Quotes are good for 15 days, because steel prices move.
- Not included unless listed: powder coat, galvanizing, permits, engineered or stamped drawings, and sales tax where it applies.
- Repeat parts and production runs get standing per-piece prices. Ask for a flat price on anything you order more than once.

Why do you publish your rates?
Because you shouldn't have to call around to find out what welding costs. Knowing the rate up front makes it easier to decide whether to repair or replace, and whether to bring it in or have us come out.
What does portal to portal mean?
For mobile and emergency work, the clock starts when Lucas leaves the shop and stops when he gets back. Driving time is part of the job, so there's no separate trip charge within 30 miles.
Is it cheaper to bring it to the shop?
Usually. Shop time is $85/hr with no travel, and welding conditions are better. If it can be hauled to 625 E County Road 44 in Eustis, that's often the best value.

Do contractors and repeat customers get different pricing?
Repeat parts get standing per-piece prices, and commercial work is quoted from drawings. Send the scope and we'll price it.
